Director of Youth Ministries

Weekend Receptionist

The Hermitage is hiring a Weekend Receptionist --  answers incoming telephone calls and greets visitors in a manner that conveys a friendly, caring, interested, helpful, and home-like atmosphere. He or she answers calls for the multi-line switchboard and routs calls to the appropriate departments, residents, or employees. The ideal candidate for this position has a high school diploma or GED (at a minimum), the skills and experience to maintain the flow of communications, and effective problem-solving skills and can prioritize and organize in an effective manner.

Director of Children’s Ministries

Fincastle United Methodist Church in Fincastle, VA is currently seeking to fill the part-­time position of Director of Children’s Ministries. Part Time Director of Youth Ministry

Windsor Hills United Methodist Church in Roanoke, VA is seeking an individual to fill a part-time Director of Youth Ministry position. This individual should have a strong passion for Jesus Christ to lead in the faith and development of middle and high school members of our church. Specific duties involve leading and directing youth fellowship meetings on Sunday night, teaching Senior High Sunday School and serving as a resource for Middle School Sunday School.  Coordinator for Children and Youth Ministry

Belview United Methodist Church is seeking a person who relates well to children and youth to plan and direct the youth and children ministries of the church. Duties include leading the Senior Youth Group and working with pastor and others to build-up a vibrant ministry for children and young families. The Coordinator should be able to partner with a team of youth, parents, adults, and volunteers in developing and implementing a new vision of ministry for children and youth. The Coordinator will oversee ministries for children and youth, as well as engaging parents and volunteers in these ministries. Duties include recruiting, volunteers; planning and coordinating activities, such as games, music, devotions and mission projects. This person will work under the direction of the pastor. Candidate should have good interpersonal skills including leadership, teamwork and communication. Candidate should have a reliable means of transportation. Part-time, 10-12 hours per week. Salary is $5,000 per year.
